Rob Hopley scored a hat trick as Winsford United put ten past Barnoldswick Town in a North West Counties League Premier Division fixture at Barton Stadium.

That will do nicely, bring him back UTA

I went to watch and can tell you that Rob not only scored 3, ok 1 was a pen, but he set up the Madeley lad with 3 chances which he took well. His 1st goal was Rob reading that the centre half was going to back head to the goalie he latched on to it and it was in the back of the net in a flash. His second was typical Hopley deep cross into the box towering header from Rob.

I’ve seen the Madeley lad before and yes he’s scored goals on his own but he put 5 in on Saturday, and a lot of it was down to the way Rob played setting him up. I would say another 2 or 3 games and Rob will be firing on all cylinders he’s not that far off now. The lad is a hero to come back and play after his injury is a testament to his hard work and dedication. Keep it going Rob you are a true Albion all time great.

Great to hear from you again MONA. Yes, Rob is certainly up there with the best of them and I along with others am delighted that he has fought back from what appeared to be a terrible injury and hope he can get back playing at our level before too long.

Rob is continuing his return to fitness and has given Winsford the lead in the first half against Warrington Rylands at Barton Stadium tonight.

Substituted on 71 minutes.

Rob Hopley scored his 6th goal since returning to Winsford to regain match fitness, against Litherland Remyca on Saturday afternoon.

Former Witton player Matthew Coughlan also scored twice as Winsford won 4-2.

Coughlan should be playing for us ! Carl knows what I think !
