Well, we completed our Pre Season programme this afternoon and now prepare for the challenges that await us during the season.

Pre Season Statistics: Played 6 Won 2 Drawn 3 Lost 1 Goals For 9 Goals Against 12.

Pre Season is the time to try new players & Trialists, different systems but most of all get match fitness. With the new additions and the fact teams make changes throughout Pre Season Friendlies, it appears that things are heading in the right direction for us. The Altrincham game apart, where there were wholesale changes against a near full strength opposition, Pre Season appears to have gone relatively well and it should give Witton fans cause for optimism as we approach the new campaign. Not having seen any of the games, I’d be interested to read other people’s views. UTA.

I think we have done pretty well given its a pretty much new squad again and we have showed we can be competitive at our level, would be good to see all the confirmed signings now eg Noone and Rogers I dont think have been confirmed for example but have been involved in most games so far, the start 11 looks to be quite promising and I think it would look like :

Roberts
Gards Brown Wilson, Devine
Heywood, Williams, Bauress, Noone
Hopley, Dalton

and a few on the bench challenging for the start 11

Garner, Hickman, Arnold,Benjamin,Haywood, Omatola, Adigun, Mckenna, Owens, Rodgers

A 21 man squad if Im correct and the development team to supplement where needed. UTA

Think Rodgers has signed for Runcorn Town.

OK thanks he wasnt there yesterday so that adds up, still room for one or two quality signings then ! UTA

I’d noticed that about Rodgers as well. He wasn’t involved in Runcorn Town’s FA Cup tie at Pontefract Collieries yesterday.

Daniel McKenna is out on loan at Runcorn Linnets and played for them in their FA Cup tie against Hemsworth Miners Welfare.

One thing that has to be of benefit to the club this season is that the management team have had the whole of Pre Season to look at things and make any adjustments they deem necessary. They’re not coming in part way through a season and having to rebuild.
