Witton look to end a run of three successive defeats when they travel to Prescot Cables on Tuesday night in a re arranged Northern Premier League West Division fixture.

The fixture is the first of three successive away league fixtures in the coming weeks.

Cables currently sit in thirteenth place in the league table after six games in which they have two wins, two draws and two defeats but, are unbeaten at home with one win and one draw so far.

Their last game saw them exit the Isuzu FA Challenge Trophy at the weekend at home to Worksop Town, who proved too strong for them.

Goals have been shared around for Cables so far the season with John Murphy, Jack Goodwin and former Albion midfielder James Foley who have three goals each in all competitions.

Witton have added the experienced Jamie Reed to their squad from 1874 Northwich, as they look to provide a strike partner for leading scorer Joe Duckworth.

There is expected to be quite a reunion during the game with Cables personnel consisting of four players who have donned the red and white stripes in recent seasons, namely: Matty Devine, George Nugent, Kyle Sambor and the aforementioned James Foley.

They have moved on but will be wanting to perform for their new employers so Witton will be hoping to thwart their ambitions and come away with the right result.

Another important game with three points at stake and Witton will need to perform if they are to get anything from the game.

Kick off at The Joseph Russell Stadium is 7.45pm.
