One for the younger guys this one…

Myself and Greg are looking to organise a Pro Evolution European Championships at Witton to raise some funds.

There will be an entry fee of £5, with the winner taking £50 and runner up taking £10.

We will need 32 entrants. Date yet to be specified, but will post further details asap.

We will also require a bit of help, in that to make the event go smoothly we will need the use of 3 large TVs and 3 Playstation 3 or X-Box 360 consoles for the evening. Would anybody be able to help out with this?

Yep. Pro Evoulution is a football computer game that is quite popular with us ‘young uns’. The idea is to get 32 entrants to each draw one of the participating teams out of a hat. They will then do battle in a similar fashion to those team who are actually competing in the real Euro Championships.

I expect it will take a few hours to complete, but should be a good laugh.

Also, will there be two of each team playing as there are only 16 teams in Euro 2008?

I need 16 entrants then!! I was thinking of the world cup!!

Would be fine with me too. If some people were only willing pay £5 then perhaps we could seed it! £10 for a top seeded team, and £5 for the rest!!

You can borrow the Rabbit 42" Plasma (although the Mrs may not be too happy if it is a night when Coronation Street is on)!!!

I may be able to acquire another 37" one from work although it is in use quite a bit!

I would say it’s looking like PS3, unless we can get hold of 3 more 360s.

Sounds good. Could probably get away with starting a little later if needed. Try and do it during the Euros so it remains relevant.

Saturday as in tomorrow??? Bit short notice could we not do next sat? My xbox is out of the question as it needs repairing and will be gone for 3 weeks when i can be bothered to send it off

Not ON SATURDAY, on A Saturday!!! Probably in 1 or 2 weeks, but will confirm asap.

Including the TV in the Club we now have enough TVs, and also have enough PS3s.

We have the interest of enough people to make it worthwhile planning it.

Perhaps Greg could run a book on who will win it too, to raise extra funds!!
