The migration went very smoothly and swiftly, however I’ve now discovered that there has been a ‘behind the scenes’ technical problem with email for some time. This is linked in with me having to migrate my main server, which runs my email servers, which I did a while back. Incoming mail was working fine, but I’ve now found out that the new hosting company blocks outgoing email. Getting round this has cost me an awful lot of time over the past few days but I’m pretty sure that everything is now working.
What this means in practice is that anyone trying to signup or reset their password or retrieve a forgotten password will have been stuck as the emails sent by the forum software were blocked. If this is the case please try again now that I’ve fixed the email system.
If you had an account but cannot remember your username (I know for sure that some people have signed up several times!) email me at forumadmin@wittonalbion.co.uk and I’ll have a look and let you know what your username was. I’d rather you did this than sign up for another account.
