Real goalscorers are very rare, I’m sure Nige is trying his best to bring in players to solve this problem.
After your performance for the supporters team on Sunday you should pitch up for training on Thursday night Greenie!
It’s funny you should say that, I will be training with the 1st team on Thursday, but that’s the Bulls Head 1st team and not Witton!! (oh well)
Mike Moseley, I will say no more.
WHS.
Amen to that WHS!!!
think we all will agree there
Mike who ?
Your memory is getting really shocking Eli!!
He’s at a funny age. He’s even started dressing like a 16 year old - shell-toed trainers and everyfink!!
When did anyone see a great friendly? Go to the match to see where we are at not to expect a 10-0.
Nigel is slowly getting there, he needs time and may need a bit more than he has at the moment to get ready for the start of the season.
Dont forget there is no transfer window at this level(well I dont think there is) so players will come and go all season.
If it isnt right 3 years from now then start to complain but please Wittoners lets keep it to a reasonable level this season if we arent top after 3 matches.
There needs to be a change in attitude from all Wittoners this season. Last season we went into every game expecting 3 points, and in most cases a win by 3 or 4 goals at least. And as a result I for one felt relieved every time we won a game, rather than elated. I didn’t especially relish the “favourites” tag, and the pressure that brings. I think this time around, with a new manager, a new squad, and a new level of expectation around the club, this season will be much more enjoyable. I know that I’ll savour every win, celebrate every goal like it’s the world cup final, and hope we can do enough to finish at the right end of the table, rather than pray we don’t slip up.
We became complacent and arrogant towards other teams last season, like it was our divine right to win this league (we acted like Man Utd supporters basically) and made ourselves few friends along the way.
This coming season, lets be patient, realistic, and above all, lets enjoy the games, the strange people and places we visit along the way, and lets make it memorable. Lets have a laugh, enjoy the banter, and go home with smiles on our faces. If you feel like you want to be critical, DON’T!!! Lets channel our energies into SUPPORTING the team and the manager, and lets show everyone why our supporters are the best in this league, even if the team turn out not to be.
COME ON WITTON!!!
A fine post Thomas!
We should remember what a fine football club we have and the heritage. WAFC is genuinely a people’s club, this has been evident by the way the fans have galvanized over the summer months and contributed to all the work going on at Wincham Park. However people choose to contribute, simply by coming to watch the games of volunteering from 1 to 20 hours+ a week, everyone makes a difference. Running a football club of this size requires dedication from a large number of people.
The most important thing is that we continue to build and to make progress on and off the pitch. Nigel has a difficult job to do this season and needs our patience and support. We are going to be a good couple of months into the season to really know where the team is up to.
I am excited by the season ahead, I think it will be a lot of fun to watch the team come together and as always the great camaraderie amongst Wittoners means there are plenty of home and away days to look forward to.
we will celebrate goals like their world cups. But im sure some fans will be critical too. Its all part of being a football fan. I know i will be if i go 2 north ferriby and get the same performance i saw last season at ferriby, because in such a crucial game, there was such a lack of heart. I will never be critical if they get beat as long as they give it 110% every game.
Manchester Wittoner. You cannot give 110%, 100% is the maximum. Only kidding, I know just what you mean. If the team try as hard as they can we can ask for no more. Can we buy Mike Moseley by the way?
