Reasons to be cheerful:

WE ARE ALBION!

Yes well other than that:

2nd place finish in the league
very good FA Cup run
last team from our league in the FA trophy
First over 1000 gate since conference days (league)
av att highest for 7 years (over 100 up on last year) (ok thanks Telford for the help but it was higher before tuesday anyway!)
Strong young team
Cracking young ambitious manager (mines a lucozade Jim!)

Not too bad was it then?

Oh yeh we own the club and judging by thursdays meeting which ever route we take its very promising!

Heads up - let do it on Tuesday!

Thanks Neil, I needed that, well done.

More plus points

90 goals is the highest we’ve scored in our 25 year membership of the Northern Premier League

The 57 league goals scored at home represents the first season 50 or more have been registered.

The Non-League Paper has us in NUMBER ONE spot of all the 3 Conference & 3 Premier Divison Leagues

We scored 10 more than anyone else in the league

We won more games than anyone else in the league

We only lost 3 times at home in the season

Make no mistake this has been an EXCELLENT season for the club. We would have settled for play-offs at the outset and we came incredibly close to winning it on the final day. There is not point in ‘ifs’ and ‘buts’, the improvement this year has been fantastic and we have an excellent squad of players. I for one think we have played better quality football than anyone in this division and hope we see the rewards of this in the play-offs.

Of course I want to see us go up by Saturday night, for the manager, the lads and the supporters - however regardless of the outcome we have a lot to look forward to on and off the pitch. Sometimes you need to be careful what you wish for, we could go up this season and then have a very average season next year in the CN, there is every chance it will not be as exciting as this one. This season has been full of highlights, fantastic games and days out. Worse case scenario is next year we have Whitby and Scarborough away trips and the hope of another title push!

Reasons to be cheerful - yes, there are lots of them!!!

Having been a witton fan for 30yrs i can only apologise for only attending a handfull of games this season (due to work commitments) but i will be there tomorrow night (a much bigger game than the one on itv) and hopefully sat aswell, lets just hope that we can get over this final hurdle and for all you fans that have showed your loyalty and passion all season be rewarded with promotion to the nc next year, see you all tomorrow night

Another reason to be cheerful… WINSFORD UNITED ARE FINALLY GOING UP!!!

We got our league by 5 goals from yr tennants, Runcorn!!

Good luck in yr playoffs, but its always hard for the team that just misses out on automatic promotion.

Can someone keep me a place near the half way line, I have to play Bowls first at Owley Wood for Winnington. I ask because there should be a hell of a big gate considering the circumstances.

Dear Rabbit, as far as the Otley reds are concerned we are quite looking forward to Whitby and Scarborough!
