Do not know details as yet but reserves went down 2-1 in cup away to Barnton. Well done to youth in their cup win.
A very poor performance yesterday i’m afraid.<br>With 4 players counted out because they had played 5 or more 1st team games and the captain turning up too late to play, wasn’t the greatest of what we needed for a quarter final game<br>We went 1 down after 19 mins after a silly free kick was given away and they scored in off the post<br>We started then to play some of the passing game that we do well and it paid off with a good move involving several players for Will Hurley to score from close range<br>But Barnton scored at a bad time on 44 mins after a Witton attack broke down in the Barnton half of the field, and they just did the simple thing of a long ball down the slope for their No 9 to score his second goal<br>The second half started as the first with Barnton applying the pressure.<br>The game was becoming very scrappy and Witton were reduced to 10 men when Kevin Towey on his return from a lengthy ban being given a straight red card for stamping on a Barnton player after being kicked<br>Steve Hardy (Manager) arrived in the second half after his holiday flight was delayed 2 hours, He tried everything by putting on all 3 subs but to no avail [smiley=ranting.gif]<br><br>Glad to see the Youth team carrying the flag into the semi-finals, good luck and well done to Kevin and the lads [smiley=applause_smiley.gif] [smiley=banane.gif]<br><br>The reserves are at home next Saturday with a 3pm kick off against Rylands, so if your not travelling up to Guisley please come and support them [smiley=banane.gif] [smiley=applause_smiley.gif]
