So the first pre-season friendly is already upon us - although it seems as though it’s been years since the last game of last season! Perhaps that’s just me
Heavy rain has been forecast for the majority of Britain tonight but myself, the missus and a mate will be making the journey. Anyone else?
Hoping to see some old faces in the team tonight (I don’t mean age-wise!) as well as finding out who the new players are, which positions Gary is still looking to fill and possibly some behind-the-scenes news on possible signings.
The intention is to add features like Match Previews, Match Reports and other useful information to the site. Also if you take a look at the ‘In the Press’ section we are stripping the latest news stories from the Guardian and Chronicle online services and putting them all on one page for you!
Picture Galleries will be created using Facebook, Instant Messaging will be through Twitter, the reason being that this opens up communication with massively broader communities and helps increase the traffic into the main club website.
A full breakdown of the new site and the rationale behind the development is being written up for everyone to read. In the meantime please feel free to play around and provide feedback on what you think, what needs to change or what is missing. Bear in mind that we are still in final stages of development and therefore at times pages and links will be down for periods of time - this is pre-season for the website too, we are experimenting with different things but will be fully fit and ready for the new season!
Quite impressed with the display tonight - one or two useful players.
The bald fat No 4 was outstanding and his replacement in the 2nd half did ok. Maybe it was because they were playing alongside Boothie ?
Very good display last night, really impressed with the quality of players Gary has managed to bring in to the club. Fantastic finish by Pritch for the second goal. Overall a very positive display.
I’m determined not to get over optimistic but there were some good signs against Rossendale.
The next two games will be bigger tests.
There were some good pre season zigga-zaggas.
