Witton’s Academy team got off to a disappointing start when they kicked off their campaign in the newly-formed Education & Semi Professional Football Academy at Runcorn Linnets on Thursday, going down to a narrow 2-1 defeat.
All the goals came in the first half with Harvey Wood & Jacob Kenny on target for the Linnets whilst Substitute Marcus Robinson replied for the Albion, but they couldn’t salvage anything from the game despite their efforts.
