Rushall Olympic v Witton Albion, U1S, 16/3/10

MATCH PREVIEW

On Tuesday night, Witton Albion travel down the M6 to Walsall, to play Rushall Olympic.

With Witton travelling down on the back of a 3-0 win against Spalding United on Saturday, Rushall will be hoping to bounce back following a 2-0 defeat at promotion hopefuls Glapwell.

After completing a league double over Spalding at the weekend, Witton will be hoping to make it two league doubles in two games. Back in August, Witton followed up a 6-1 win at Spalding, with a well deserved 2-1 victory at home over Tuesday’s opponents. Following that win over Rushall, Witton were top of the league, and Rushall were 11th. Now, approaching the return fixture, Witton have dropped to 8th, with Rushall improving one position to 10th.

Witton will possibly be without captain Paul Henry for Tuesday’s game, owing to a two match suspension following the yellow card he picked up against Spalding. Paul Booth and Mike Moseley are out with long-term injuries.

A win is a must for Witton if they want to sustain their chances of a play-off position. The play-off’s are not out of the question for Rushall, but a defeat to fellow hopefuls Witton, would dent their chances.

“their” not “there”,do it again!

I blame the parents! He’ll be saying next he copied it!

When I find out who his Dad is…

Huge game tonight…

Anything less than a win will hinder our (hopeful) play off chances. I’d like to see Witton attack Rushall from the first whistle and try to get an early lead like on Saturday. A few players will be missing tonight so the ones that do play will have to up their game. Hoping to see plenty of noisy Wittoners there tonight at a critical time of the season.

That’s the spirit LP - u are obviously pumped up and inspired by your recently accquired Sons of the Albion.

We’ll be there, loud and proud!
What colour will we be in?
Come on The Albion, we can do the double over them.
