Salford City U21's vs Witton Albion U21's Development Squad.

Witton’s U21 Development Squad are in action on Sunday morning when they face probably their toughest test so far with a trip to league leaders Salford City, who are unbeaten going into the weekend programme. Witton still look for their first win of the season but can take some comfort from recent weeks which have seen an improvement in performances, if not a change of fortune. The team can certainly go into the game with a positive attitude and will hopefully give a good account of themselves. They will be looking to put on a performance and who knows what can happen on the day with that little bit of luck, something every team needs from time to time. The game is being played at Partington Sports Village with an 11am kick off.

Goals from Mohammed Affane, Majed Alasttal & an own goal gave Witton’s U21 Development Squad an excellent point at leaders Salford City on Sunday afternoon.

Witton went in 2-1 ahead at the interval and when Majed Alasttal netted the third after half time, it looked as though they were on their way to their first league win of the season.

However, City fought their way back into the match with two late goals to take a share of the points and preserve their unbeaten start to the campaign but Witton can take a lot of confidence from a positive performance.

Leading scorer Zac Woodcock scored twice for Salford City with Emmanuel Ogunrinde adding their third.
