Do you get the feeling that this season is being written off as we cannot afford to pay players? Why has Heler gone?
WHS.
Gutted for the players today. They deserved so much more!!!
They had a keeper on loan who used a lifetime of mojo to keep us at bay, and was easily the MOM.
They had one chance, gifted by a slip on the edge of the area, and we got punished by of all people, Steve Foster.
We could have easily scored 5 or 6 in the first half alone, and we had several good chances in the second half aswell.
The 2 new lads looked good, and I especially liked the look of Tich up front with Kinsey.
Where is J. O’Sullivan from ?
I think bothh new lads are from Colwyn Bay
Rudheath

Of all the drivel you have written, that will take some beating.
Considering the number of players who have departed lately I do not comsider my comment “drivel”. Heler is jus the last in a long line, including Ashley Stott who did go because of the money situation. As for Heler choosing to go, no mention was made to that effect on the forum until you just said so so how are we supposed to know his reasons?
WHS.
Whether you know his reasons or not, to suggest that the club are ‘writing the season off’ is pathetic. Do you think Macca and Pritch are ‘writing the season off’? Are you suggesting the players are going out there and going through the motions as we have now ‘written the season off’? How do you think any player reading this would feel? What would any potential new signing think if they were to read that, what’s the point of joing Witton as they have already written the season off?
If you want to write the season off then that’s your choice, but do not dis-respect the people working so hard at the Club by suggesting that Witton Albion have written this season off.
To even think that is massively dis-respectful. To post it is irresponsible.
Calling it ‘drivel’ was some severe self-editting from myself. I would have preferred to use much stronger language.
I can see where WHS was coming from but I also agree with Robbo its not the plan to stop improving just an unfortunate run of events leading to us losing good players, I was suprised at the lineup and was not sure why all the changes again but you have to do what you have to do, not sure we can get playoffs now so would be good to just try and play good football and build for next season, it would make sense not to waste money now on too big a squad and luxuries we cannot afford, use the ressies when we have too id be happy with that.
Team and club building etc goes on but realistically when your team is out of all the cups and has little chance of the league the season is over. Don’t lets damn WHS too much, maybe his choice of words could have been better and after all he is a good supporter of the club.
Sick of this, Robbo, it is your site, enjoy. I asked a pertinent question considering what has gone on lately, I made no comment about the management or the players, I will simply asking if the finacial constraints put on by the board had effectively ruled out our promotion push effectively “writing off” the season. Oh and by the way, I support the board over the constraints, better to live to fight another day than to go bust.
WHS.
Oh dear Robbo first a player and now a supporter you’ve seen off !
