Well I guess Thornley and Barras will both be absent Saturday. Thoughts anyone? Kearney is obviously a starter, but who will be up front?
Any news on Barras? JV said he would be out for a while.

Barras out for 6 weeks according to Doc.
For me it would be
…Kennedy…
Coo…Kearney…Pritch…Brownhill
Peers…Lloyd…Macpherson…Dillon
…Warlow…Brodie…
I was told the other day that Thornley would be there as he is back from Austria on Fri night/sat morning? Unsure how true it is & whether he’d be a bit tired etc?
Ah yes Neil, the old "bit tired" deal. But hang on, isn’t Thornley just sat on his backside for 90mins and first class travel to boot in the best hotel in town
Just kidding, but hope he’s OK to play - Ossett will be a tough game looking at their away form.
Going back to the excuse about being tired, Denis Wise put Leeds’ recent poor FA Cup performance down to being tired after travelling. For gawd’s sake they were away at Hereford! Seems to me just the line to spin out to the media after a poor performance, cos it’s never cos the team were just crap, is it! or that the opposition were better.
Now, if a non-league player had to put in an 8 hour day and then play in the evening after an arduous journey on a bone-shaking chara, I could understand it.
Shame about Tony class player hope you get fit quickly mate! A half asleep Thornley will still be a class act so get him in. The other option for me would be Steve Brodie up front with Adam and Dean Craven in Steve’s slot. We are going to need experience against Osset because I think they are better than Hednesford. I think from what I’ve seen of Dean Craven his passing through a packed defence is brilliant and we know Ossett’s defence is mean.John Dillon is a great player too but I think Dean might just give us that extra edge in this one. If Liam is back he should be in too. No doubt Jim and Nige will come up with something else that will still get us the 3 points!!
England fly back Friday night, and according to Micah Richards’ column on BBM Sport they don’t meet up again until 10pm on Sunday - which would mean Rod is available.
Other than that i would like to see Craven get a run-out, but i’m not sure where he is up to with fitness etc.
Little bird tells me a new left full-back on view tonight at Newcastle - could it be that Liam is on the move ?
All good shouts about the team selection. Perhaps the full back issue is just insurance in case…?
I heard that Craven had moved on already…
I was told he was a centre back who had just been released by altrincham…
Be interesting to get official word on Craven, I have not heard that he has moved on but would equally not be shocked if this was the case (as I cannot see him getting many starts - especially when Brownie is fit).
I would be with Greenie’s starting line up with the exception of keeping Brodie at left mid and starting with Crowe. If he has scored 2 tonight at Newcastle then it may be worth seeing if this confidence can be taken into Saturday. I think Dillon is a great ‘prospect’ but not for the starting line-up at the moment in my opinion.
Heard on the terraces at Newcastle Town Dean Craven injured with hamstring. Tony Baras not as bad as thought could be out for 2 weeks only. Mystery left back Dan Skelton did not appear until second half, one of Nigels boys, looked quite promising.
