Scarborough Athletic vs Witton Albion.

Witton head to the east coast for the second time in a week on Saturday, when they travel to Scarborough Athletic in a Northern Premier League Premier Division fixture.

The game marks the second encounter between the two clubs, following Witton’s victory in the Emirates FA Challenge Cup a month ago and they will be looking for the same outcome in order to continue their good form of recent weeks.

Scarborough’s form in recent weeks has been indifferent, culminating in their 3-0 defeat in midweek to Yorkshire rivals Whitby Town ironically after Albion had won at Whitby days earlier.

The future is looking a lot brighter for Witton, thirteen points from the last six league games have galvanised the team but that needs to continue and with most of the injured players returning to action, gives the management team a nice problem together with recent additions to the squad.

Goal difference separates the two sides going into what is an important game for both, but Witton have the momentum of a winning sequence so will certainly be confident of continuing in the same vain.

Scarborough’s home form has been disappointing so far having lost three of their six matches in front of their own supporters and like Witton, they have struggled for goals which is somewhat surprising considering the quality they have in attacking positions.

Come 5pm, Witton will hope to have climbed the table but Scarborough have the same aims so any result will need to be earned.

Kick off at The Flamingo Land Stadium is 3pm.
