Bailey pretty good are you having a laugh? as for bottom of the table well i didnt know the season ended after 11 games
Well I guess it just takes a decent manager to get it out of him! John Hollins v Dino Maamria - no contest.
With it being a bit drier today, Dino may get chance to start his gardening. Waste of time him getting time off work for it, and not being able to get much done. He’d be best of doing some wallpapering or something indoors if the weather stays wet. What i dont understand is that he had all summer to get his lawn sorted out, but then he chooses to do it know when the team needs his guidance most of all?! If i was the chairman i think i’d discipline him for showing such a lack of respect to the club.
And Matt the Vics Fan; who said the season had ended?! The statement was ‘bottom again’. Is that not fact at this moment in time?! You’re certainly leaving your play off push a bit late, you’ll be too far off the chasing pack if the team doesn’t pull it’s finger out soon.
Dino needs to leave his rose bush to sort itself, and start earning his corn at the VS/Marston’s Arena/Connett’s Pension Fund Stadium Of Half Complete.
Were the slime pleading poverty this time last year? Somehow Connett found a buyer and they magically found some money from somewhere and they stayed up. I don’t want yet another reprieve this time, it’s becoming embarrassing.
With the Stock Market as it is there will be no bail out this time methinks. This really could be the end of Vics.
WHS.
I wouldn’t wish an end of Vics but cutting them down to size, say at Northwest counties level. This would certainly put a big dent on the overinflated egos of most of their fans.
To go into any league they need a ground and there is no way they can afford the Marston Stadium (or whatever it is called now) if they are not in the Conference. I do feel that they may well go under completely this time, for as I have said, with the Stock Market down money will be tight, too tight to spend on troubled football clubs. We may not be setting the world on fire but we are in a reasonable financial situation.
WHS.
Just one point at home, they are heading for oblivion.
WHS.
It seems Mr. Connett has gone bust. where does that leave Vics? They have a 25 year lease with him as I understand it, not with any new owner. I am betting they will “go” before the sesaon is over. How sad.

Can we please stop stirring stuff up with Vics. We are not in a position to boast ourselves right now, and after last season we all know how it can come back to haunt us. Let’s concenrate on our own team for the timebeing.
No Robbo, it is about time we had a laugh at their expense, they have done enough laughing at us over the last few years, they even called our ground “the swamp” whilst they were playing here for God’s sake!! I DO believe that this really is the beginning of the end of Vics, which can only be good for us. Neil, gave out another few tickets today, I will give you back the rest next Tuesday when I hope to be early enough to do the half time draw.

i have to agree with robbo were just as much in a mess as vics at the moment
and theres only one team we should be concentrating on and thats WITTON not vics
Theres no harm in taking the time to amuse ourselves at vic’s expense, afterall they would only do the same thing to us if the tables were turned. Its not like we’re not focussing on witton, we very much are, but we just need something to brighten our days up
must admit i agee with both robbos. We’re not exactley doing brilliantly at the minute, and look how it turned and haunted us last season. Worrying about Vics is not going to help us at all, so we should be focusin on OUR team.
Let stay focussed and fight our own battle please.
forget V**s for the time being.
We can laugh at them any time but not at present.
Right now we’re not in a position to laugh at ANYONE!!! Vics get out of it every single time anyway, so let’s just keep our heads down for now. We’ll get a chance to laugh at them IF we stay up and IF they go down. Until then, let’s not tempt fate…
I agree with the sentiments being posted, we have enough problems of our own!
However, there is no harm in analising the situation to see if we can benefit in any way?
What I have heard on the grapevine is:
a) Mike Connett has been declared bankrupt…not sure wether or not this included Beaconnett, as I was led to believe this was in the name of his daughter, Bea?
b) If it does, then who ever handles the bankruptcy will look to sell the Marston Stadium to pay off his debts. The Stadium could therefore be available on the cheap, say the price he paid for it £250000?
c) I would imagine that Vics would attempt to purchase the ground on the cheap, but where would they find the security to finance a loan for this amount.
d) If the re-development of Wincham Park is a goer, then we should have the security for such a loan. We could take-over the Marston Stadium and paint it red & white. With the money left over from the sale of our land, we would be secure for many a year.
I know all of this sounds pie in the sky, but until we know exactly what is happenning across the canal, we should start discussing amongst ourselves how it will effect us.
that sounds great jeff and hopefully that will all happen. I agree with robbo. I hear people talking about the Vics latest score whilst we are playing, and i think why? Not livin in northwich and knowin no northwich fans i fail to care what they do on the pitch, i dont even check their scores, if some one asked me i would have them win the league if it meant we just got 3 points tomorrow. i check more on Alty as i have friends who support them i would rather they fell to our league. Focus on your team. We are in no position to slate them, whatever problems they have goin on as it stands they are conference, we are unibond. I know where id rather be. I started supportin Witton when we were conference and thats where i aim to see them in a few years time
I think some of you maybe missing the point I am making about Vics. I am not suggesting they will be relegated, I am suggesting they may disappear altogether. They have no ground of their own and they rely totally on their present owners to keep them afloat. I have lost a few quid on the Stock Market in recent weeks, they must have lost thousands, they may soon be unable to keep footing the bill to keep Vics going. With Connett bankrupt that can only mean trouble for Vics. We can sell our ground and move on, they cannot. That is the point I am making.
WHS.
OK, point made.
Now, can we move on please?
