I thought Gary Scott was the PLAYERS player of the season, not the managers?
Can’t disagree with any of the Awards but thought maybe the Ethel Stelfox Award may have had a joint winner but that’s only my opinion.
I don’t think that you were ever in the running Eli.
OK then I will say it. Jeff Metcalf has done a fantastic job along with Pete,both stepping into the void left when GE unfortunately resigned and I would just like to acknowledge that on here.
There are NUMEROUS people like Pete and Jeff who do a fantastic job for the club, the board (every year) have a nigh on impossible task in choosing somebody for the award (there is an unwritten rule that you only win it once!)
However in reference to this years decision, I think it was fully justified given the amount of time over this and previous seasons that Pete has been doing a job for the club behind the scenes. Equally there are a hell of a lot of people who have worked for the club on a consistent basis who haven’t won the Ethel Stelfox Award so to win it is imo a great honour. WELL DONE PETE.
Can’t argue with that Andy - but just thought that as both took on the job on a shared basis then a joint award would have been more fitting.
