Shaun Tuck

Hope its ok to post this as Shaun has confirmed on Facebook that his contract has been terminated by mutual consent and it’s all over the NPL group.

Sad that it had to come to this but nobody is bigger than the club, and I personally think it’s the right decision.

It’s been a long summer and I hope that we can all move forward from this point, without blaming this person or that person and continue to take the club forward in the same direction it’s been moving for the past 2 years.

All the best to Shaun and im sure he’ll continue to score goals wherever he ends up.

UTA!

cant believe he’s gone because of a handfull of fans who want us to be a NICE club.well being a nice club has just probably got us relegated so that will give you something new to moan about cos he was our best player.

He’ll be playing and scoring by the weekend. Good luck Tucker!!
Hope pritch has a couple of strikers lined up?

Well nobody really comes out of this affair with any credit ? but players always leave so lets turn it into a positive get every witton fan back on board and move on - lets help Pritch move the club on on yes Tuck was our best striker but had his faults on the playing front as wel !l Pritch will have the released salary i hope to use to get a player in to replace him put please let him have a bit of pace about him as well as ability - not the greatest period in our clubs history for sure but if we pul together we will recover from this and become the best club in cheshire.

Not posted for ages, for reasons known to some. But have to put Postyred (and others) right. He was not released “because of a handfull of fans who want us to be a NICE club”. He posted comments on Facebook after the Club’s statement (and his own) at the beginning of the week. He basically broke the trust the Club had given him - I’m happy to be corrected if I got any of that wrong

EC dont think he posted anything imflammatory this time from what i saw but of course he should have stayed clear of any social media given the circumstances and it was probably written into his terms of reference by the club so overall the club had no choice given tuck had seemingly transgressed again, lets hope the upside is that some very good Wittoners return to the fold and we can become the club of choice -1874 who !

Ed: You are correct and good to read your comments on WAFC’s forum - hope it continues. I also hope that this news seals an unwanted divide in the fanbase. It reminded me of Vics’ site in the JR regime. Witton Albion’s fans are above that sort of in-fighting and I hope our season starts here.

I also haven’t posted for a while because I, like a lot of people, was in an apathetic mood due to the events caused by social media postings. I know it’s always on the tip of everyone’s tongues and has clearly affected the players performances and attitudes since the season started.

It is commendable that the Board and Team Management have allowed the process of rehabilitation to run its course and, ultimately, the decision to end Mr Tuck’s reign by mutual consent is the right one.

Now let’s get on with supporting the team.

Although im upset and angry about this situation its now over and as a club we must move on, fans have been well and truly divided but now for the future of this club we must put aside our differarances and ALL support Pritch and the team, 26 fans on a coach to FCUM on Tues night was a bloody disgrace!!!

Fully accepted the boards original decision and fully accept the release of Shaun Tuck too. I didn’t see or hear what he put on facebook but if he was under strict orders by the club then i’m sorry, he only has himself to blame. Particularly after being given a very generous second chance.

Lets hope this is the end of the sorry affair and move on now. Have to say though how dissapointed I’ve been with some wittoners “all about me” attitude on this and other issues of late. There have been many things I’ve not agreed with over the years I’ve supported the club but I’ve always stuck with them and always will. If people don’t like the board and managements decisions that’s fair enough but there are means and ways of getting voices heard rather than spitting dummys out and saying “I wont watch them because of this” “I wont celebrate a goal by them” etc on here and on other websites. Some people, myself included, are sick of hearing it. If you dont want to watch or support witton albion football club for whatever reason fair enough, but its not on trying to influence others that do and always will. The last few years have been the only time I’ve known such behaviour, perhaps another illustration of the power of social media I guess.

Anyway, rant over. I think there are many bridges to be built both internally and externally. Lets stick together as one, move on and put this to bed now. Starting with a much needed 3 points tomorrow hopefully. UTA.

I was sad to hear Shaun has gone! All we can do now is move on and start winning games! I agree Matt, the turn out wasn’t great for a match against a team like fc.

For the record, I’d rather that Witton were a nice club, respected, solvent and relegated, than a gang of wankers in the FA Cup second round and on the telly.

Shaun has signed for Skem and could line up against Witton on Tues

Lets hope so since he’s about 25% fit

Apparently he’s not available for skem as he hasn’t yet signed the release forms from witton yet.

Can imagine Witton will get them posted to him early next week

As long as they get to him by Wednesday!

You could have put your oney on that move I assume by terminating his contract we cannot expect any fee ? good luck Tucker i hope you move on and have a peaceful life and keep out of politics just play football.
