Shaun whalley

The former Albion player has been released from Accrington Stanley. Here’s the report off Accringtons website.

John Coleman has today told eleven first team players that their contracts will not be renewed at the club next season, and Andy Todd has also left following the end of his loan spell, returning to Rotherham United.

Graham Branch, David Brown, Martin Fearon, Jay Harris, Mark King, David Mannix, Lee McEvilly, Leighton McGivern, Mark Roberts, Sean Webb and shaun whalley have all been told that they can start to look for new clubs for next season.

Speaking about the outgoing players John Coleman said “It is a hard time of the year for managers having to let players go, however we haven’t performed as well as we would have liked this season and I have to make sure that we are a better side next season. All the lads that are leaving us have been great to work with, they have given their all for Accrington Stanley and on behalf of everyone at the club I wish them all the best for the future.”

Sixteen players remain under contract or have been offered new deals, including the five youth team players offered first year professional contracts this season.

Shaun Whalley is a class player…if i was the new witton manager i would try and sign him.

Im sure there are going to be many teams lining up for Shaun Whalley, offering much more money than us, and probably a higher standard of footy. It would be great though if he did come back to WP as him and peersy on the wings would be devastating!!!

Come on guys - lets get the real priorities sorted first!
