Sheffield FC vs Witton Albion

Haven’t heard anything officially but it’s looking like a delayed kick-off.

The coach hadn’t arrived at the stadium at 7.15 and were still approximately ten minutes away.

Witton team news: Unchanged from Saturday.

Clegg, Adams, Lee Neville, Pritchard, Rudd, Brodie, Maylett, Hall, Foster, Moseley, Tandy.

Subs: Dave Neville, Hadzik, Heler.

Half time 0-0 on video printer

Half Time Score: SHEFFIELD FC 0 WITTON ALBION 0.

Come on ALBION! A win tonight would be brilliant…

Anybody know why my “Karma” is shown as “-1”???

Come on Albioooon!

By all accounts, Sheffield created the better chances in the first half but were thwarted by Albion keeper Joe Clegg. One effort of note for Witton with Mike Moseley going close with an effort over the crossbar.

Sorry CG don’t even know what the “Karma” thing is!! I see an unchanged side, don’t change a winning team I say, Still a bit odd Ruddinho playing in central defense though!

Pah to Sheffield’s better chances, come on the Albs!

Latest Score still 0-0 but Joe Clegg has saved a penalty.

Latest Score: SHEFFIELD FC 1 WITTON ALBION 0.

Full Time Score: SHEFFIELD FC 1 WITTON ALBION 0.

Damn damn damn! unlucky Albion!!

Bad result in anyone’s book if we are to win this league as I and others have forecast.
WHS.

MOM without doubt was Joe Glegg.

My concerns after the Willenhall game were confirmed last night - we are just not good enough.

We need an assistant to Gary asap and as pointed out by younger supporters we are lacking a central midfielder who can put his foot on the ball and create something - let’s hope Paul Henry is the answer.

We did have chances last night to have snatched the game away from Sheffield and the penalty decision in favour of Sheffield was descibed by Pritch as " for breathing ".

Great support once again.

I very rarely criticise the team on the forum, and I can’t believe that there has been hardly any comment so far.

That was as an inept, gutless performance I have seen in an away game for some time. There was no composure on the ball, I don’t think we played 3 passes all night, and the midfield was lacking any sort of cohesion.

The delivery of dead balls was inexplicably poor.

There may be some players in the team who think they are above the standard they are playing at - WELL DAMN WELL SHOW IT.

If we’d have been beaten by 3 or 4 last night then we could have had no complaints, and they weren’t that good. Joe Clegg was left exposed far too often, but fortunately he had an outstanding game.

40 plus supporters again last night - good support but let down.

This league hasn’t got a good team in it, and everyone will drop points throughout the season, so 4 defeats out of eight games shouldn’t prove too disastrous as long as we get back on track Saturday.

We weren’t that good. Are you having a laugh cos we hammered you last night and if it weren’t for your keeper it could have been double figures. I think you had 2 shots all night. We were crap against fc united on sat but we made up for it last night.

Good luck for rest of the season. :)

Have to agree with u Daz.

Also agree with Andy on his point that we have got some players who think they are a cut above this league. On current form we are not going to get out of this league at the first attempt - and that is a big concern.

Daz - I think by the wording that you could have beaten us by 3 or 4, by definition says that you hammered us.
But I still feel that your team are decent but not any great shakes, which makes it even more worrying!!! (The Witton performance earlier in the season against the likes of Rushall was light years ahead of anything Sheffield produced) Which makes it more galling because we have seen what our side is capable of, we just need consistency.

Good luck for the season.
