SITUATIONS VACANT

CALLING ALL WITTONERS!

We are looking for volunteers for a number of official positions at the club which have arisen either due to additional projects being initiated or because existing volunteers do not have the time to commit.

Assistant Secretary
This role involves supporting Glynis McDonough on first team match days but also the secretarial duties for our Development Squad, Youth and Academy teams. Confirming fixtures, completing player registrations and liaising with the leagues, this role would suit a recently retired person or someone looking to break into football administration.

Communications Manager
This role involves ensuring that Witton Albion receives regular and widespread coverage in all internal and external media. The Communications Manager will turn all the latest Witton Albion news, events and promotions into stories that are then fully covered by the various channels at our disposal.

Social Media Manager
This involves working closely with the secretary and Communications team to ensure that all news, events and all happenings Witton Albion are promoted via the official Witton Twitter feed which currently has over 6,000 followers! An understanding of social media is essential as is the ability to respond at short notice.

Newsletter Co-ordinator
The Newsletter Co-ordinator compiles The Wittoner newsletter and up-dates the distribution database. Working closely with the Communications Manager, the Newsletter Co-ordinator will forage for news, chasing key club personnel for content and ensuring the right balance of on and off-field news.

In the above three roles, experience of publicity and PR would be an advantage, although hitting deadlines, attention to detail and the ability to work in a team are just as important.

Witton Willy
Our match day mascot is yet to make an appearance this season because we need someone to make the role their own. This would involve attending all weekend home games and helping to put some extra smiles on Wittoners’ faces. Outfit provided!

Each of these roles will take just a few hours every week. Anyone interested should contact Gavin Bennett at gavbennetyt79@gmail.com or Mark Harris at mark.harris@the-tin.com or speak to either at today’s game.

I think Gav’s email is gavbennett79@gmail.com

No y in there.

Thanks Stephen. I just copied and pasted Mark’s email.
