Witton Albion Football Club are delighted to announce that six players from the Under 18’s Academy squad have so far signed first team forms for the current season.
Rhys Beswick is a defender who appeared in the first team squad for our FA Cup tie at Crook Town. Rhys is currently on the books for the Everton B Tech Programme.
Goalkeeper Alfie Blakeley has featured as substitute goalkeeper in both the league and FA Cup this season. Alfie has impressed in training so far.
Jack Bestwick is a defender who has a good left foot and is a solid full back.
Midfielder Zack Kopanski made his first team debut in the previous season friendly against Radcliffe. Currently on dual registration with neighbours Barnton.
Forward Wentworth Sanders is a lively, direct winger who has an eye for goal and can also play as a central striker.
Midfielder Harry Woods comes from a family with a rich history in football. An energetic midfielder who has seriously impressed in first team training and with his performances for the Under 18s.
