Something Very Special

Delighted and extremely proud to be able to inform everybody of Witton Albion’s latest community initiative.

This afternoon our very own Nigel Deeley and Matt Woolley attended Rudheath Community Primary School to deliver 2 coaching sessions to some of the 6 and 7 year old children.

This has been done as part of a wider-ranging aim of taking Witton Albion into local schools and will hopefully lead to bigger and better things in the coming weeks and months,

We also took along with us the Play Off Final trophy to show to the children, as well as a signed football to present to the school.

We have also handed out approx 70 junior passes for next season.

The sessions were very well received, and both Nige and Matt were a credit to our football club. Huge thanks to both for giving up their time to do this on the Club’s behalf. Also thanks to Ben Harrison for loaning us the equipment for the afternoon.

We were also joined by Andy Simpson from the Northwich Guardian, as well as a photographer. Please check out the paper next week for Simmo’s report, and what will hopefully be a decent photograph of us all!!

The school were very excited to have Witton Albion visiting them, the children certainly took to it very well.

So if you see Nige or Matt please thank them for helping raise the community profile of our wonderful little club, and don’t forget to tell people just what Witton Albion are doing for local schools in the area.

Also let’s go easy on Simmo for a while, he was very keen to cover today’s visit and i fully expect an excellent piece in next week’s paper!!

I know we tend to say this a lot of late, but what a fantastic club we have here with amazing people in each and every part of it.

UTA!

Our Club is BLOODY BRILLIANT!!!

Great stuff, things like this are the reasons why we are all so proud to be wittoners. I think simmo has done a great job recently! Giving us the coverage we all know we deserve. Long may it continue and with work like this going on I’m sure it will.

Absolutely brilliant and very well done!!

With staff like Nigel Deeley, Mike Moseley, Brian Pritchard, players as committed as Matt Wooley and Ben Harrison and volunteers such as Mark Robinson, Witton Albion FC are truly in safe hands for once, when you think back to some of the scumbags we have had at the club in the past, long may this group stay together and just how far can they take us?

Add Ste Yoxall to that list please Jonny (you deliver his post btw!)

And of course Ste Yoxall (sorry I forgot you mate  ) and don’t forget my xmas tip Ste

There would not have been anything to cover in the Guardian if it wasn’t for the hard work of yourself and Ste Yoxall arranging the event, a ‘thank you’ should go to the two of you!

Could not agree more. As for Mr. Simpson I will say only this; “Many thanks and I am sorry about our argument, it went too far.”
