Sounds familiar

I saw this statement on the NPL Facebook page from Alan Alcock, league stalwarts treated the same as club stalwarts, consistency at least.

It may not be general knowledge but yesterday both Phil Bradley [ex League Secretary] and I left the services of the NPL after a total of 38 years’ service. I felt I needed to announce this as the official league website has not bothered which sums things up really. It may be best that nothing is posted now as it will only look to be an “afterthought.” For the record Phil was made redundant against his free will which I think is unique in Non-League football administration. My personal opinion? An utter disgrace for him to be treated this way. I also need to add that Phil has not even received a letter of thanks from the League after such dedicated service. As for me football politics and personal principles meant that I could no longer serve the league with a blind commitment on a number of important issues. I am very comfortable with my decision although I do feel very much forced out as the circumstance should never have occurred that I had to make such a decision. It is a sad day but it may now be that I have the final chapter of my book. I have e-mailed all our member clubs and I sincerely wish all of them the very best wishes to whatever their aspirations are over the coming seasons. Hopefully I will still be able to contribute to the Group but no longer as a league official which may actually be a bonus.

Who is the Chairman of the NPL again?
