SPS v. Albion

Came back from 2 down at half time to draw 2 - 2. Hit the woodwork three times and apparently the host’s first goal was very controversial, Witton players stopping in the belief the ball had gone out of play.

was suprised to see a few changes to the 11 after Tuesdays fighting display ( although we created little i thought v Stocksbridge we would ) and chris luby on the bench ! probably 2 points dropped to be honest will be interested to see the match reports hopefully on here later to see how we performed first half from all report so far sounded awful !

Yes, the first 30 minutes was dreadful!! We surrendered initiative and space right from the start and were hanging on against a side in the bottom 4 who had lost their previous game 4-0. However at 2-0 ( 2nd goal a defensive shocker) we did seem to up our game and started to impose ourselves just before half time.

in the 2nd half we improved considerably and ultimately SPS were very happy to hang on for a point. Over the course of the last hour we created lots of good chances and their goalie made 2 really good saves. Powell was very unlucky to hit the post after a great late run. I thought playing a target man did help bring others into the game, and if the defence hadn’t buckled early on we should have won.

My MOM Kyle Wilson, he never gives us, never lets his head drop and that’s why he gets goals late on in games. Because he has no great pace people can overlook his hard work, but he is a true professional.

The second half is probably the most enjoyable half of football i’ve had this season. We looked the better side, we looked like we’d score, and we were unlucky not to score more. It was like last season

Whatever Pritch said at half time had the desired effect, and his subs changed the game.
