Stamford AFC vs Witton Albion

Witton begin their Evo-Stik Division One South campaign on Saturday with the long trip to Stamford. The Daniels as they are known have had a close season of uncertainty, following their relegation from the Premier Division. At one point it appeared that they were going to be reprieved due to issues with other clubs in the Pyramid system only to be placed into the South following a lot of deliberation. The movement of Witton appeared to be more straight forward and in many quarters was probably expected. Pre Season has gone well for both clubs as they prepare for the challenge ahead and they will look forward to the new campaign with optimism. Witton will have memories of their last and only visit to The Zeeco Stadium so far, if not happy ones but that is in the past and there now begins a new chapter. Both teams will be looking to get off to a positive start to the season and then hopefully, build on that in the months ahead. Kick off at The Zeeco Stadium is 3pm.

From the North using the A1

Leave the A1 at the B1081 exit signposted Stamford. Continue down slip road and into Great Casterton.
Turn left (signposted Ryhall) for about 2.5 miles. At the end of the road turn right and immediately right again. Continue for about 1.5 miles and ground is on the right

From the South using the A1

Leave A1 at A606 exit signposted Oakham. Turn right over the A1 then left as if going back onto A1 south. Then take first right before joining the south bound carriageway for 0.5 mile. At the end of the road turn right and immediately right again. Continue for about 1.5 miles and ground on the right
