Has gone to Buxton
Part of our big summer clearout Tom - we have one every year around this time! :silly:
He’s a good lad Brodes, very good pro with an excellent first touch. Struggled to play two games a week during busy periods and at times looked to run out of steam. Smashing player though and will not let anyone down. I believe Buxton are splashing the cash and given that he may only have a further season in him you can understand his desire to move. Not many at Albion would have much bad to say about him.
Wish him all the best at Buxton but hope he is looking up at us above them in the table.
Can you confirm the Briscoe situation Tom, has he gone to play in the US?
I think so yes he has left us but not entirely sure if he has gone to america or not
Brodie was - like alot of the squad - excellent during the first half of the season, but - like alot of the squad - not as effective during the 2nd half.
I’m sure he’ll do a great job for Buxton.
Interesting to see Danylyk to Alty, always seemed a nice lad but very surprised he has made it to the Conference.
Not being funny but why do we have to find out off other supporters that OUR players have gone??
I guess if you’re Alty then your main aim is to ensure you only spend what you earn. Providing you keep your house in order, and don’t go into Admin, then you have every chance of finishing within the bottom 4 but still staying up!
Makes more sense than over-spending and putting yourself into financial difficulty only to finish 2 places higher and have the same net result!!
Buxton announced this on their website this afternoon. Nige, GE and Mark have been identifying those players that we want to stay and negotiating terms accordingly. Once they have determined the overall position they are planning to make announcements. Until such time that they have reached agreements it is best that they do this in private, frustrating as it is for the fans at times this has to be the best approach they can take.
Didn’t know that actually - but if you stay by the website about 11-ish I will hopefully announce our first signing. Can’t do it earlier as Mark & I are in Witton meetings from 5.30pm till late.

Brodie didn’t have such a good second half of the season mainly down to the fact that he was on the bench most of the time.
I believe that had he been given a decent run in the team he would have been just as effective as in the first half.
