Full Time Score from Cromley Road:

North West Youth Alliance - President’s Cup Quarter Final:

Stockport Georgians AFC 1 Witton Albion Youth 2. (After Extra Time).

Witton’s Youth team progressed through to the Semi Finals of the North West Youth Alliance President’s Cup with an extra time victory away at Stockport Georgians on Sunday afternoon.

Georgians are currently third in the North West Youth Alliance First Division and have only been beaten twice this season, so it was an excellent result for the Witton lads.

Witton went in front with a great strike from James Rogers from fully 25 yards out. Georgians equalised from a free kick with barely two minutes to play but that was how it stayed as the game reached the end of normal time. So extra time beckoned and Joe Salter got the winner in extra time holding off his defender to fire home right footed after an excellent Matthew France assist to seal Witton’s place in the last four.
