This hastily arranged latest pre-season friendly at the Mid Cheshire League club saw a 11:30 kick-off so as not to conflict with the afternoon’s cricket match. Included in the Albion 17 man squad were John Dillon, 19 year old midfield player who Crewe have released and Scott Lycett, also 19 and who was captain of Leicester City’s Youth team last season. Reserve team players Kurtis Gill & Tim Drohan also saw action in the 2nd half.
Styal who have former Albion reserve manager Steve Hardy as their No 2 also included former Albion players Gavin Smith & Sean Nolan.

42 mins. Styal keeper failed to gather simple ball, Warlow pounced on loose ball, keeper pulled him back and ADAM WARLOW took the relevant penalty kick with confident ease.
49 mins. ADAM WARLOW hat-trick after Steve Brodie had ridden through a couple of desparate and questionable challenges to thread the ball perfectly to complement Adam’s clinical finish.
76 mins. Dorryll Proffitt down the right flank, pulled the ball back from the by-line and again there,this time to convert a simple tap-in was BRIAN PRITCHARD, second spell involved in the match now playing in a forward position!.
