Due to various factors we are now holding a supporters meeting in the Social Club next Wednesday 29th November from 7.30pm and not Thursday, 30th.
The purpose of the meeting is to update fans on a number of issues referred to by Mark in recent programme notes. Mark will be making a presentation, explaining what the club is doing to address our needs and what support we need from the fans.
This is a great opportunity to find out what is happening within Witton Albion and a chance to put forward your views and concerns. Look forward to seeing you all there. UTA!
I spoke to Eric Finnegan on Sunday afternoon and without giving anything away he urged me to be there as something very important would be revealed. I am intrigued so I will be doing my best to be there.

It appears that my “Jokey” comment about Mark resigning, Arab Sheihks coming in with Billions has been taken seriously by some. Let me get this straight. Eric told me that it is an important meeting and that people who are keen Wittoners should be there to hear exactly what is going on at the club. He made no mention of “Arab Sheihks” or Mark resigning!!
These meetings take place all the time and show that the management is keen for ALL Wittoners to know EXACTLY what is going on. I apologise to Eric as some people, WRONGLY think he was spreading rumours, he was not!!

Sorry I could not make it. At a meeting at Chester and missed a bus because I stood in the wrong place! Would still be there if it had not been for a kind lady who put me right. Only got in at 8pm. Hope things go well.
Good meeting. Those who weren’t there will regret it!
Poor comment in lieu of the fact that there are genuine hard fast supporters out there who will have had genuine reasons for non attendance such as work or family commitments. How will those supporters be informed? Or maybe they will regret not going to Saturdays game. Like I said ‘poor comment’.
Basically, it was a presentation by Mark, helped by some charts, as to the state of our finances. It showed where the money from Roberts has gone, coupled by a sharp drop in our income from the Social Club, and fans fundraising. I believe a fuller explanation of what went on last night will appear in Saturday’s programme.
Following on from last nights meeting its been suggested that a supporters committee be formed to help with fundraising, and various other activities at the club, bit like the old central ground days?
Anyone genuinely interested in getting involved have a chat at the game Saturday, cheers
Don’t believe what I’ve just done - had done a quick summary of last night’s meeting, and just about finished, and obviously I’ve inadvertantly pressed a wrong button, and lost the bloody lot. Just about to go out, so I’ll try again tomorrow
Alan, Do you think it’s wise to publish our ‘‘affairs’’ on here for all & sundry to read , Barlow & nosy Tony have been up all night waiting for snippets of info , they have nothing else to talk about , as they are in their ''winter break ‘’. Lets keep our business in house .
