Sutton Coldfield Town vs Witton Albion.

Witton begin their festive programme on Saturday, when the make the trip down the M6 to Sutton Coldfield Town. The Royals are currently bottom of the Premier Division and have only managed three wins in front of their own fans so far this season against Stalybridge Celtic, Buxton and surprisingly Shaw Lane on the opening day. They did perform reasonably well in the return fixture earlier in the season but went down to a single-goal defeat at Witton. Under the management of Richard Sneekes the former West Bromwich Albion and Bolton Wanderers midfielder, they are still within touching distance of the teams also down at the lower end of the table but have played more games than their fellow strugglers. The playing surface at Coles Lane has recently been replaced and is artificial, at a stadium where they also have Romulus as tenants so the surface does get plenty of use . Witton go into the weekend in ninth place and like everyone else, face a hectic schedule with four games in around ten days. So this time of the season can have a great impact on teams fortunes and playing personnel. Witton will be looking to get closer to the teams above them whilst the hosts will be hoping to put a run together, to help them climb the table. A difficult game can be expected as both teams have a lot to play for. Kick off at Coles Lane is 3pm.

Potential banana skin - for Witton anyway lol, a few injuries to cope with so might be tricky, i would go with :

Hare
Haywood, Ryan, Wilson, Devine
Dale, Owens, Foley, McKenna
Hopley, Tames

but suspect Carl might leave Devine out due to the plastic pitch and go Tames on the wing and Jones up front, dont really mind just be glad to watch them play. UTA

A game on paper that we should win, but their results have been improving lately, so must be a bit wary. But this group of players will, i am sure prevail and secure the 3 points we desire. UTA

Sutton Coldfield Town have today announced the signing of striker Justin Richards, 37, football league experience with West Bromwich Albion, Bristol Rovers, Colchester United, Peterborough United and Stevenage amongst others. Also played non-league with Tamworth & Stourbridge.
