After a number of impressive displays, Albion manager Gary Finley secured the services of Jamie Tandy when the left-sided midfield player put pen to paper and signed a contract with the Wincham Park outfit.
The 25-year-old former Manchester City player signed non-contract forms in August and the Albion supporters took an instant liking to Tandy’s style of play and commitment and will no doubt be heartened by the news as the Club look to bounce straight back into the UniBond Premier League, and with the Club also still involved in three cup competition’s as well as challenging for the League title, Tandy will have a vital role to play in manager Finley’s plans.
Meanwhile, it was ‘Hall or nothing’ for Finley as he pulled out all the stops to secure the services of Blackburn Rovers teenager Michael Hall minutes before the noon deadline for The FA Trophy clash with Matlock Town at the weekend.
The Blackpool based youngster, who will be 19-years-old at the end of the month, is comfortable playing at full back, left wing or in a central midfield role, and captained the Rovers youth team last season.
Manager Finley said: “I’m grateful to Blackburn Rovers for agreeing to allow us to sign Michael, but even more so for their assistance in making sure that all the necessary paperwork was with The FA to enable me to include him in my plans at the weekend.
“The lad was training with the senior squad so I had to wait for him to come in, but with five minutes to spare we managed to complete the paperwork.”
