Terry Fearns

Much-travelled striker Terry Fearns has been jailed for seven years for his part in a drugs ring supplying heroin across England and Scotland.

A former Wigan apprentice, Fearns started to make a name for himself on the non-League scene after spells with St Helens Town and Marine after scoring 111 goals for Vauxhall Motors.

He was signed by Southport, and continued his goalscoring exploits with Droylsden in the Blue Square Premier in 2007/08 before being snapped up by AFC Telford United in the summer of 2008.

Telford sacked Fearns after he had been arrested in March 2009 and the following summer saw him sign for UniBond League Division One North side Chorley.

The 32-year-old showed no emotion as he was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court alongside a dozen other defendants.

Twelve of the thirteen, including Fearns, had pleaded guilty at a previous hearing to supplying Class A drugs between January and November last year.

The court heard police raided Fearns’ address in the Maghull area of Liverpool in March last year, while he was still playing for Telford. They found £30,000 worth of heroin, two knives and drugs kit.

May be he will meet up with Dave Anane and start a team called FC Ganja Boys.

No sympathy, should be a life sentence for dealing in heroin.
WHS.

that’s a bit harsh, jail is not always the answer, maybe he just needed a hug and a day out at Alton Towers!
