'The Great Escape!'

Moving on from Saturday and using my powers of prediction (I’ve only ever won it once despite plying JAP with copious amounts of lemonade to top up his Carling)

I reckon both Barwell and Buxton can expect with normal form to pick up circa 15 points each, which means we need to win 7 of our remaining 13 games to survive on our own merits given that 2 of those games are away to the top 2 teams in the division then its a tough ask based on our current form.

It obviously starts tomorrow night at home to Stamford, lets get everyone behind the goal and REALLY get behind them and not leave it to the same half dozen to shout encouragement in a quiet stadium. Lets show the players and opposition that we believe in them and hopefully that support will transfer itself into them and give them the confidence to get us out of the mess.

UTA WTID

:clap Not wishing to take delight in the misfortunes of another club, but there is a school of thought now developing that if Witton finish 4th bottom of this season’s Northern Premier League table, then the Albion may be reprieved because of Vauxhall Motor’s resignation.

We can still get out of it without having to rely on that I hope!

we will get out of it if we give the players the support. they are good players and just need to believe in themselves and the results will come. what we can do is REALLY get behind them starting in the game against stamford and continuing it right through to the very last game. so don’t just sit at home and hope for good results get off you backsides and support our beloved witton. i say again these players are make up a good team that can play football the way it should be played. COME ON WITTON.

Frickley, what about Frickley? They have the hardest run in, unlikely to pick up more than 6 points in the run in.WHS.
