Q. How does the league work?
A league runs for 3 months
Each player is registered and issued a membership number the venue they first play at. This number is unique to the player and may be used to register at any event.
They then play at the weekly event, to gain points with the ultimate aim, to be in the top 25% of players in e achVenue and be invited to Regional Charity Poker event.
How the Overall League Works Every time a player plays at a venue, whether “home” or “away” venue their points are added to the overall league.
The purpose of this League table is to show each player where they stand on a National basis, and see every player’s average score at a glance.

Q. I’m not that confident about the rules of Texas Hold’em poker.
No need to be concerned, there will be help and assistance at hand. Just let the Tournament Director know and they will get you playing in no time at all. At some venues we will have a “novice table”.
Q. Will I be able to get a game?
Yes, as long as you get to the venue early and register to play.
Q. Do women play poker?
Yes. Each tournament is open to anyone who wishes to play. Gender, age or race is not a problem although players should be at least 18 years old.
Q. How much does it cost to play?
It is free to play, however some landlords do lay on food and may make a small charge for this, others run a raffle or football scratch card on the night.
Q. How long does the tournament last?
Poker starts at approx 7.45pm and will run until there is an overall winner around 10.30pm.
Q. Can I come along and just watch the proceedings?
Yes, of course you can but you will regret not playing as the night progresses.
Q. Will I have to deal?
Each player takes turns to deal but if you are not confident another player may deal for you. Dealing is easy and players soon settle and deal when it’s their turn.
Q. Who runs the tournaments?
The Tournament Director will run the games. They will ensure that everyone who wants to play gets a game, settle any issues with hand ranking, table behaviour, and points allocation.
Q. How many people usually play?
There is enough equipment for 40 players at each venue, however as the league progresses more tables will be available.
Q. Can I play at other venues?
Yes you can.
Q. Can I wear dark glasses to play?
We encourage players to wear dark glasses, hats and have table banter (as long as the banter is friendly) which helps give a casino experience.
