The FA once moved a play off final to a Friday night so that England could play brazil the next day. It caused murder for the fans of one particular north east club who couldn’t get home as the last train left just before final whistle. This put about 5000 people off and that particular club went on to lose 1-0 to a substandard Barry Fry Peterborough. That changed the course of history for that particular club who are now non league.
I’m not bitter though.
The Fa won’t allow any finals to be played on Fa cup final day as they are still deluded enough to think that the competition means something, and don’t forget each participating team gets two tickets. Therefore if the play off final was on Fa cup final day it would mean four people missing out on their lovely away day in the smoke!!!
I say bring it on. Friday, Saturday whenever. We can beat anyone of the teams up there (other than Ferriby!!!) so let’s just get on with it and see where we are in May!
3 games to win first guys before we even have a Semi-Final date to worry about!
I remember Spurs giving out League Cup Final ticket details at half time in the Semi-Final against the A word. They went on to draw the tie and lost the replay.
Friday or Sunday are great shouts for me, not Saturday its FA Cup Final day don’t wanna lose people that would come to watch the playoff final as a one off because they don’t wanna miss the FA Cup Final.
I know we will make it a win Saturday and that should be enough for us to make it, Rushall will drop points with the games they have got left. And to be fair we are much better side than Tottenham.

Hey - I only asked to plan potential travelling dates Chadwick!!
Nothing is certain in football - but everything crossed we make it, whichever day it is!
Not counting my chickens but i have just booked the week off work when the play offs take place
However a Sunday final fills me with dread as i would have to book the following Monday off as well or not drink hahaha :-\

Sounds like we’ve got someone to prop up the bar for three days at the beer festival if we dont make it
Yes, for those who don’t work past lunch time, the Friday would be fine i’m sure :woohoo:[/quote]
TBF most people can book an afternoon off. Im sure there are some people who cant get out of work on Saturday who would prefer Friday so it’s swings and roundabouts.
I do hope if we make the playoffs that I have that same feeling as last year (semi and final)…We will win this, no problem, we deserve it… :clap
As for the FA cup final (I was there in 1981 with City, replay an all!) two north west clubs, evening kickoff, extra time would mean fans missing the last train back ooooop’t north, disgrace!
