The Witton Albion FC guess the results competition for the European championships.

Ever wanted to test your football knowledge and put it to good use?

Well now here’s your chance enter the Witton Albion FC guess the results competition.

The competition costs 3 pounds per entry with 50% of the money raised going into prizes with the winner getting 40% and the runner up get 10%.

The other 50% percent goes to the club with the other pledges that have been made.

If you wish to enter their will be entry forms at the information meeting.

The closing date is Thursday the 5th of June and the entry must be handed in before the bar closes that night.

I have tried to add the form as an attachment on the thread but the file is to large, so if you know anybody who is not going on Thursday but could be interested in entering could you pick them up a form. Cheers.

If you wish to enter the competition, download the form, fill it out and hand it in by either

:slight_smile: bringing it to the club with the 3 pounds when it is open for the poker night on Thursday and hand it to Rachel or drop it off at the bar.

:slight_smile: post it through the clubs letter box in an envelope with the entry fee enclosed. Just write ‘Guess the results competition’ on the envelope

The closing date is this Thursday (5th June) when the club closes.

Well done Stephen on this initiative.

Why not copy them and get all the people you work with to have a go?

That way we can get more people involved and more money raised.

There’s only a few days left to enter now so remember, ask family and friends if they are interested or take a sheet or two to work. If you have any problems PM and i will get back to you as soon as possible.

So the European championships have kicked off and so has the guess the results competition. You can no longer enter and I would like to thank everyone that has taken part. £100 was raised in total so I have worked out the prizes and they are as follows

Winner £40
Runner up £10

And £50 goes in to the donation fund.

I will keep an up to date leader board on this thread so everybody knows how they are going on.

So another European championship has passed and a very hard competition to predict this time. We have had quite a large number of shock results which lost most people a large amount of points but the winner and runner up have always been in the top five for the whole competition there has been only a few points between them and most of there predictions have been spot on so…

The winner of the WAFC guess the results competition with a score of 605 is Mark Lyon and in a very close second with a score of 575 is Keith Hitchen.

Here’s a final top Five table just to show how close it was at the top.

The gloss may have been taken off Leo’s win by the fact that a Liverpool striker scored the winner!!!

Just like to thank red army for running the competition and Mark for donating his winnings back.
