Theo Chrisokhou

Witton Albion Football Club would like to wish Development Squad player Theo Chrisokhou, the very best of luck as he commences a week’s trial with current Scottish Premier League leaders Aberdeen from tomorrow.

Should this be under Reserve/Development news Wheels

Secondly who is he? Could only find a mom reference in the heavy defeat at Buxton.

I am still unclear as to what the Dev Squad actually is tbh.

Has the lad signed terms with Witton, presumably, because he must be a class above anyone else at the club to get such a prestigious trial and therefore must be worthy of the first team at our level.

I was asked to put this in the General section of the forum.

From what I can remember, he made one first team appearance last season in a Cup competition. Not certain whether it was the Mid Cheshire Senior Cup or the Cheshire Senior Cup.

He played in the Mid Cheshire Senior Cup Final against Vics towards the end of last season.

Any news on how our player is getting on at Aberdeen?

Theo Chrisokhou has now completed his week long trial with Aberdeen, where was involved with the under 20s Squad. He has done well in his time in Scotland however, they have decided not to sign him.

He will now return to Witton Albion and continue his development with us. He will be in contention for next Wednesday’s Lancashire League South home fixture against Bradford RIASA at Barnton.

Is he in contention for a place in the squad for this Saturdays FA Cup clash at FCUM?

I would think that is highly unlikely.

Fair enough. Suppose the usual rules apply to the Cup anyway, league starts etc.

I’m not aware of any rules regarding league starts relating to Cup appearances. I would imagine that if a player is registered and hasn’t played for another club in the competition this season then I would’ve thought he would be eligible.
