Whilst Sharon and I are sunnying ourselves, we are keeping in touch with reality, not only do we both contribute to animal welfare charities at home, but now on holiday we are fostering animals in desperate need of help. This particular dog is so friendly who without support from softies like us, would surely have been left to suffer in a dustbin. We have welcomed this tick and flea ridden urchin into our home for rest and recuperation, prior to her leg being amputated and to a speedy recovery.
Any donations towards her operation and recovery would be very gratefully received. Please log onto PAWS Paros and for there you will be able to see the fantastic work that they do, and should you wish and be able to donate any amount.
Thanks
Sharon and Andy Lomas
Lease be careful the photos might upset some people.
Aspecially one containing me.
An update
Thanks for all the PMs We received in respect of the dog who we named Molly.
Molly was fit enough to travel to Germany on Monday (much to the amazement of the island vet) in the hope her leg could be saved. Alas the leg has had to be amputated but her life has been saved. The dog will have no problems in being rehoused in Germany, who ever gets her will have a superb dog. I wanted to name her Tripod but Sharon wouldn’t have it !
Anyway we or should I say Sharon is now fostering two pups found abandoned, they are brothers, one is 5 kilos, the other just 2 kilos obviously the runt of the litter. When I come back on Sunday I will be looking for sponsorship for new flip flops, shoes a watch etc. I had forgotten what puppies do best !
That’s all from PAWS I realise this is a Football Forum and the season is upon us and I will be shouting loudly for our" dogs of war" in midfield.
Thank you Sharon and Andy
