Minimum 4 points required from the next 2 games, Prescot away and Leek at home. Regardless of who we’ve got left to play, having 6 home games out of 11 gives us a huge advantage. I have a feeling Buxton will help us in our objective!
If Fleetwood don’t win their game in hand over Gateshead and Buxton they will really have to look over their shoulders, both have closed the gap down to a few points
Worryingly I agree with WHS again for the second time in as many weeks!!! All we have to do is keep winning, we don’t need to add up the points. There is no need for ifs, buts or maybes, let’s win every game we go out to play. If we lose one then we just win the next.
We are 14 points clear, top of the fair play league, lowest goals conceded, have the top goalscorer in the division. All this means we don’t need to do anything else other than play the way we have so far, same approach required, focus and belief.
We will win this league and deserve it on every level.
I think Fleetwood will be out of it by the time they come to us. Out of the 3 teams i would say Gateshead’s fixtures are a little more favourable as they are mainly at home.
As has been said elsewhere though, we just need to win our games. It is a while since we put 3 straight wins together, and i think if we can do this now (Whitby, Presot, Leek) then it will be a massive step towards the title.
Just to confirm what I have logged elsewhere I am having to log on as “Jonah” for the time being until someone sorts out the problem if they can. As for the league I honestly believe if we win all our home games, 6 I think we have, we should have enough points to be champions. However, I actually think we will win far more than that and have a 100 points, or thereabouts by the end of the season.
The league doesn’t lie - we are up there and flying but we need to be careful of getting in front of ourselves here.
Concentrate on the next game, then the next. Lets see where we are in a month’s time and then just maybe we can start to live the dream of winning this league.
By doing that we just might avoid that dark, desolate, empty feeling that comes with getting so close, but not close enough.
