Three in, Three Out

Glad to see Paul Alcock re-signed, although I realise that this signing has most probably been made to provide cover for the central defenders positions.

The last time Paul signed for us was in November 2012, he showed in an away game at Eastwood Town that he is well equiped to step in to the team and perform at our level.

Witton won that away game 4-3 with Steve Foster winning the MOM award despite him only coming on as a late substitute. Steve provided an assist for Shaun Tuck to complete his hatrick before scoring the winner himself.

To be fair none of the three will be missed, but Breeze looks the business on paper http://evofootball.com/jonathan-breeze/

Some good business

Look forward to seeing the new players maybe tomorrow good luck to them and hope they bring us a change of fortune thanks for the update UTA

Jon Breeze “some have compared his tenacious and hard working but technical style of play as to a young Paul Scholes,” likely to get sent off then :red  only jesting. welcome to all three. cant wait to see them in action UTA

Can’t comment on the other two but I’ve played with and managed Paul Alcock at rudheath club and played a lot under his dad Mike Alcock,Paul is a quality player who I wish we would have played more last season but for some reason only played one game. We played in a cheshire cup final a couple of years ago strangely enough at witton and his performance that day at centre half was outstanding, I’d go as far to say its the best display from a centre half I’ve seen in all the years I’ve watched and played in local and non league football. Paul’s good in the air, strong and good on the ball and with the added advantage of having played up front he has got an eye for goal. I for one am glad we now have three quality centre halfs in Paul Ben and Mark

I know Paul personally so I’m glad he’s signed again and good luck to the other new lads.
We definitely needed a shake up and let’s hope it changes our fortunes. UTA

Shame about Platt. Maybe he’s struggling after his busy summer, but I think we all expected more. Thought he had his best game on Saturday ironically but probably too little too late. Hope he does well wherever he ends up.

Breeze. Hmmm. Song.

Congrats on your thousandth post, I hope to get there in about 2021, grim reaper permitting. It’s got to be Pearl Jam, not the Shamen in view of your online name, surely??

BLimey Ron, I do talk some nonsense.

And yes, PJ, good knowledge!
