This would be my team, but not holding out much hope. I’d like to see Pearce give the youngsters a chance, dispense with previous failures. The experience would be vital to the future.

appreciate that won’t win it, but neither will the usual suspects, and you’re giving young players, most of whom are playing for big clubs, great experience. One or two quality older players in their for the experience and guidance.

Germany ditched their old guard and had a great world cup with youngsters. 2 years later they are one of the favourites for the Euros.

I am a Spurs fan, how on earth can you have Defoe in the England team? He is not good enough for Spurs!

Carroll is terrible, Defoe doesn’t play enough to start useful sub tho, king can’t play in all the games, Smalling and Jones both get caught out positionally so you can’t start both, will wilshere be fit? And Rooney misses the first 2 games.

Cahill/Dawson if he gets his fitness and form back

Cleverley/ wilshere if fit and played at least 10 games

That team shows how poor we are, Zamora?, Cleverly? Cahill? Young? and Walker has only just started playing in the Spurs first team!!
