1-3

1-4!! What’s going on?

2-4 Foster

FT 2-4

Poor performance, but we take the rough with the smooth.

The real test is how the players react, they’ve bounced back many times before.

Fair play to Buxton though, who I thought were more physical than ourselves and took their chances really well.

Well that was a huge let down.

Poor performances we can accept, but a complete lack of work-rate for about 70 minutes of today’s game is just embarrassing.

Results like that wont be bringing any new fans through the turnstiles, nor will they be inspiring people to donate either their cash or their spare time.

Really really disappointing.

Witton Willy was superb though…

Every cloud and all that

Thought we were poor all over the park today but what i thought was more dissapointing was our fans leaving or going to the club when buxton got there fourth with 20 minutes still to play! By the time the full time whistle went there was as many buxton fans at their end as witton at ours! Yeah it was a poor performance but we’ve got to support the lads to the end and show them that we’ll be there no matter what.

COME ON WITTON

Buxton were good value worked hard were physical and stopped us playing and took there chances well but we were poor all round can’t think of one player who did well today, robbo is spot on lack of effort is not on, bad games yes, anyway I’m not sure we are ready to go up again so not too worried yet, a day to reflect on losing Stott two strikers in a comfort zone ? Tuck looked like he got injured as well ! Our inconsistency at home especially is hurting us, maybe a 5 man midfield at home would be better maybe we are too gung ho teams can exploit this if set out well Buxton and others have ? If we were much tighter and patient then over a game our quality would IMO win through and we might have a better win percentage at home ! Anyway thoroughly fed up going to watch brain dead telly I’m that dissapointed.

The Buxton keeper made a superb save at 1-1 from Fozzie…and there was another Fozzie shot just cleared (again before they re-took the lead) but to be fair we were second best there today, we hoofed, we gave the ball away, we did’nt win the ball, we lost it, they wanted it more…only the second time I’ve ever left a game before the end (the first time I missed a Brian Kidd strike for Man City at Elland road in the mid 70’s, I’d seen enough and missed our second, hey ho!

Out worked and out battled, Buxton were on it right from the off and we never matched them. Did we get a second ball today?

It’s all been said about the game, What I would add is that so many times, if we start flatly, and surrender initiative to the opposition, then we lose. This is an issue that I feel all the players and management team need to address. If we go for it right from kick off, then we often win. I know this sounds basic, but there must be something that can be done… I hope so.

Was a bad performance yesterday. We had a few minutes at 1-1 when we were playing really nice stuff but other than that Buxton wanted it more.
Our shooting yesterday was awful. 10 miles over the bar. (Apart from Josh’s free kick)
Don’t think the break has done us any good but onwards and upwards and hope the weather allows some more togger before Xmas. UTA
