Today's 'referee'

What an absolute disgrace he was. It was quite clear what was going on, the question is why? It was so bad that the Hednesford players were not even trying to disguise their fouls and timewasting, they knew that nothing would be given against them.

What is so annoying is that the league will do nothing about it, remember this is the league that when one team won it fair and square, the officials of the league decided to vote in a different side as ‘champions’. ‘Fair’ is not a word I would associate with the Unibond League.

I spend an awful lot of time working on this website, others give vast amounts of time and money to help the club in other ways. The raison d’etre of the club is to run a football team, the raison d’etre of the team is to perform at its best on the pitch. When a piece of garbage makes a mockery of everyone’s efforts, as has happened today, it makes me seriously doubt whether I want to continue.

Respect? What a sick joke.

one word to describe him
AWFULLLLLL:angry:
ruined the game and any chance that we had

I’ve got a number of words to describe today’s Ref but all I can say is I’m very Disappointed in his performance and I think personally he needs to be reported and assessed by the league.

must have had a hednesford top on underneath
discracfull
and needs reporting to the league

WE didn’t lose because of the Ref. We lost because our centre half is a nut case getting sent off like that. We created nothing, Hednesford were a stronger outfit than us, but that is no disgrace, they may well win the league.
WHS.

Cant believe i am saying this but I agree with WHS. The ref wasnt that bad. We just were not very good, created nothing and had 2 sent off. How is that the refs fault?

What do you want him to do when our player has a 2 footed lunge in front of the ref and their bench and the last man trips their player who is about to score? They could have won 6 or 7 nil. Thats not the fault of the ref.

The referee and his assistants were being assessed.

Thought the ref was below par yesterday mainly due to his inconsistancy in giving decisions to both teams - “fouls” by witton players were given yet the same “fouls” by hednesford players were more often than not, not given/missed.

Coyne should rightly have gone - there is no excuse, i was disappointed and disgusted at Coyne. However, the referee (and assistant referee, who was not that far away) should realise that a challenge like that does not happen without a reason - it was a vicious and deliberate retaliatory two-footed lunge in response to a kick/stamp on Coyne. There was an assistant referee in attendance, sat in the stands, who saw what happened and said that both players should have gone.

As for the other sending off, again, no real issue with that, if he was the last man, he has to go.

Stil, the game is over now so there is no use crying about it - lets just be ready for the next game!
