Tom Edwards

Witton Juniors player hits the big time!

It is with real pride that we can announce that one of our own Witton Albion Junior players has made it through the ranks from the Under 16’s (1989), to not only play but score and set up a goal for the senior club. Tom Edwards has now signed forms with the first team – we are so so proud of him. Tom has been a dream player as well as being one of the best players we have had the pleasure to have playing with us – he has also been one of the first at training and one of the last to leave. He has brought a tenacious and infectious personality to the Junior side. The Witton Albion Junior players, managers and coaches feel so proud that we have watched our player step up to the semi-professional level. We are keen that the relationship between the senior club and the talent in the junior set-up is recognised. Grassroots football is such a key part of life in Northwich that it is with great pride that our junior set-up can play a small part. We ask that you all keep an eye on Tom - he is destined for greatness.

As an ex Witton junior manager and junior committee man nothing gives me greater pleasure than seeing a junior come through, I really hope he makes grade. UTA
