Should be a good game tomorrow night. Glad to see Rod Thornley is doing well for you - he’s an absolute Alty legend and I think he’ll help you to promotion this year.
I think this will be a close affair but we’ll sneak it 2-1.

Cheers Alty - hope you bring a few down tomorrow night should be a good game. Whilst the result will not define the season for either of us it will be a game we would both prefer to win.
Thornley is clearly a class act and you can see that he is conference level. I am sure you guys used to deal with the same challenges of coping with his absences - I am not sure where I stand on a player being in and out of the side due to other priorities (understandable as that is). That said he looks good enough to walk straight back in when available. He made one and scored one on Saturday. A player of his ability will be a very useful asset. I am a bit surprised that he is not still with you - do you think you are missing him?
Lets hope it’s a good game of football tomorrow. Good luck for the rest of the season (after tomorrow night)
I think the travelling to away games was a bit of a problem and he gradually lost that extra bit of pace which was always such a great asset to him. I still think he could have done a job for us but certainly not the 20 goals a season man he once was (although he’ll almost certainly do that for you this season). What we got with Rod was a committed clubman as well as a great player and he’ll be an Alty legend forever for all his fundraising efforts and general commitment to the cause.
With regard to tonight, we should have a few there although I live down south and won’t be able to make it. Don’t expect our usual singing tonight as we only sing in the CSC if we get to the final!
Good luck for the rest of the season.
