Agree Cuddy
I agree with cuddys, using 40 odd players in one single season is ridiculous. In my view one key part of a successful team is cohesion and co-operation, working as a team together knowing what the other players are thinking when they’re on or off the ball?
Having 40+ players in one season was destined to not allow us to play as good as we could potentially play.
Look at City, they’ve got all the money in the world, bought a few decent players and when all the new players first arrived what were their results? Losses and draw they should’ve in theory won.
I know for one reason or another (injuries, players leaving etc.) we would’ve probably needed a higher number of players than you would see in your average season, but 40? Come on!
Finley knew Tandy’s baggage when he brought him to the Club, and Booth wasnt even getting into the side at one point (which was ridiculous imo), so they are both poor examples of ‘bad luck’.
We have had Brodie on contract but he has played only a handful of games - another poor call by the manager, and cannot be put down to luck.
The reduction in revenue through the turnstiles is directly linked to the poor performances on the pitch - so i cant offer Gary any sympathy on that score.
of the 40 players we have used, like Eli says, you would only want to retain a handful. And i think there is every chance they will leave or stay of their own accord, regardless of who the manager is.
In my opinion Gary should have gone at 5pm last Saturday to allow us to start preparing now for next season.
Eli, we said no more politics!!! But do you honestly want a “Hooray Henry” running the country? Finley knows what is needed, let us hope he can povide it.
WHS.
Did he not know what was needed this season? I would have to consult the archives, but i’m pretty sure this isn’t his first season in football management…
If he couldnt do it this season, then i worry for next season with reduced financial backing, and without the support of the fans. The fans have contributed financially in the past, i think the club will struggle to find the same support next season if things continue as they are now.
Hypothetical question here but if the only reason for Finlay staying is because he has another year of his contract left and the club can’t afford to pay him off then would the fans be prepared to each donate some money to pay off his contract and get rid of him as the majority appear to want him out.
In turn all fans that donated could each cast a vote on who they would like as the next manager when the candiates had been whittled down to the final 3 for example.
Bit of a left field idea but I thought it may spark some debate.
WHS i have nothing against you but just maybe and not saying it is your fault but all these home games you have missed this season and you still think Finley knows what he is doing its obvious you havnt seen this team play enough this season to beleive Finley has even an little clue what he is doing
Signing on 40 players - he obviously didnt have a clue about these players before he signed them
Offering Brodie a contract “YES” he did it last time for us but “NO” finley should have known he wasnt good enough for this season but he realised that to late
OUR team will continue to fall untill hes gone
I dont even want to imagine the attendances for next season because what finley is telling these players to do isnt entertaining and people arent going to watch it.
Last time the fans “revolted” and got our way in regards to a manger, he left us in the lurch about a week or so later with only 2 players.
Perhaps not a good idea for the fans to have a say in the final 3 applicants?!
Most of the fans are revolting anyway!
Pay to get rid of him - no way - I would stay away and go and watch Lostock or Barnton !
Sounds like the lunatics want to take over the asylum … again. I agree with Dann, look what happened the last time supporter-power took effect.
Can’t really suggest an answer, that’s for the board to decide and certainly should not be the subject of a witch-hunt on a public forum.

now we are getting somewhere!
Seriously though, we cant afford to get shut, whatever happens get behind the team or we will never go anywhere.
Actually I think I have seen enough games this season to realise that Mr. Finley has got some things really wrong. My point is that as we cannot afford to sack him we should back him and hope he has learned from his mistakes.
WHS.
i agree we all need to back the team to go any where and that i will
but i will never back finley i havnt got enough respect for him and neither have the 90% of fans that dont want him here
Robbo,Bus to Stamford still has seats available, if your willing to go anywhere?!wittonrobbo wrote:

Personally I don’t know Mr. Finley. I am not happy with the discipline nor was I happy with the things he asked a player to do the last time he was here, but if he can win football matches next season I don’t particularly care if he is closely related to David Cameron and Margret Thatcher (and you all know I love them!) A manager needs to win, Mr. Finley did not win enough this season; he knows that if he fails again he will be out and very few, if any clubs will be keen to employ him. For him next season it is “Win or Bust” Personally I hope it is “Win” though if it is he will probably leave anyway, some other club with more money than us will come in for him no doubt. He gets one more season either way, let’s hope it is a winning one.
WHS.
Hey fancy that, we’re having a footballing debate on a football forum. I never thought i would see the day.
GF can win matches WHS - unfortunately not enough !
He also failed to get Colwyn Bay up !
He took us down and it looks like he has failed to take us back up !
Time for change !
