Not looking good for us after those results !

Thats gone well then :frowning:

Fat lady singing?

Clearing her throat…

I remember Robbo predicting 8th place several weeks ago.
We are at least guaranteed finishing no lower unless Carlton do some scoring :frowning:

League table on the link after last nights results

Lincoln 1 Glapwell 4 Att 82

That just about sums the season up !

That is surely it now. Its horrible to see that teams with gates less than 100 are doing better than we are

Maybe next season ey…

Yep, looking good for 8th place.

With a reduced budget next year, can we honestly expect to do any better than 7th - 10th in the table?

Do people still think the current management regime is the right one to take us forward?

19 points adrift of the champions, a team we have proven to be equal to on our day, so why such a chasm between us and them points-wise?

Time for an information meeting ?

Couldnt imagine many people attending if we did? Apathy rules at the moment. We need a massive shake up to get people interested again.

what we need is a new manager, anything else is a backwards step.

Actually, despite it all, I think Mr. Finley should stay. Fiancially it will be expensive to sack him and any continuity we may have, and I agree we don’t have much, will be gone. We will have to start from scratch and that will probably mean a slow start at the beginning of the new campaign. Hopefully Mr. Finley has learned from mistakes made this season and will have a team in mind for next season which will hopefully stay the same all season rather than, as this season, end up with 40 players or so turning out in the red and white.
Always hopeful.
WHS.

Don’t know which is the worst…

1 more year of Finley

   or

5 more years of Brown ?

1 more year of Finley will probably feel like 5 !

A small football club can not be expected to grow when 90% of the fan base wants the manager gone!

The biggest mistake was giving him the 2 year contract !

Just maybe it is a rolling contract and he will be gone at the end of the season !

I agree WHS. Sometimes you can have too much change, and you have to remember, change is not always for the better.

I think Gary has done well considering the massive wage bill reduction he was faced with at the start of the season, and even more so the further reduction forced on him in February due to the lack of funds coming through the turnstiles. It didn’t help having Paul Booth and Jamie Tandy side lined for much of the season, who I think were 2 key contract players.

Remeber (except for Pritch), that players tend to play for a manager, not the club, and if Gary left, so will most of our players, and we will find ourselves in the same position as at the start of 2008/2009 season. I don’t think we want to be in the same position as Nige Deeley and Andy Nelson found themselves starting from scratch.

That’s bollocks TT

How many players would u retain for next season - no more than 4 I would say ?

Boothy is not going to be available until Oct so can we afford to offer him another contract ?

A fresh start is what is needed !

I think our wage bill is in excess of 80% of the clubs in this league.

Every team has injury problems, not every one has disciplinary problems.

The personnel we have had at our disposal should have been more than capable of a top 3 finish. 40+ players used in a season tells its own story.

We have underachieved and I defy anyone to prove different.
