After struggling to get a pitch all summer, we have provisionally been offered the use of Rudheath’s Griffiths Park on Sunday 27th July.
Very short notice, but does tie in nicely with the Tony Waterman Walk on the Saturday.
I need to know very quickly whether we have enough interest in playing this game, so if anybody would like to take part then please let me know asap.
Thanks.
I obviously am too old to play but I may come to watch, what time is the Kick Off planned for?

Unless there are any sudden developments, then this game is confirmed as taking place a week tomorrow.
The squad has come together nicely, and will feature Witton fans young and old (but mainly old…).
As usual, we have a Witton legend featuring for us.
Kick off time is 11am at Griffiths Park, Rudheath.
Runcorn will be our opponents.
Can i ask those playing to bring a few quid with them to cover any expenses and to put towards the monies raised for the Joshua Tree.
Will be a nice end to the Tony Waterman Weekend.

Also…Titch has agreed that we can join his friday fit club followed by a ball-work session immediately afterwards.
6.15pm Friday @ Witton.
Be there or be…unfit.
I’m available if you need players, sorry have only just seen the post, I played last year and would enjoy another run out

As always, feel free to come along. No guarantees over who plays and for how long, but we always try to include as many people as possible.

The Tony Waterman Memorial Trophy
Sunday 27th July - 11am kick off.
@ Griffiths Park, Rudheath (CW9 7DN).
http://www.rudheathsocial.co.uk/how-to-find-us/
Players to meet from 10.15am.
Not sure how the parking situation is, so if anybody wants to meet at my house and either drive or walk down together then let me know.
We will be looking to raise a bit of money for the Joshua Tree, so if anybody would liek to contribute then it would be great to add it on to the Just Giving page set up by Matt:

Watched for a bit and took some photos and a bit of video, no goals sadly. I was pleasantly surprised by the standard of both sides.
WHS.
A good match up until the Albs tired visibly, convincing win in the end for Runcorn, a good day out Tony would have been happy.

Mike,
Is there any way to get the photos WHS posted above? The links to all photos from before the forum upgrade appear to be in this format.
The ones WHS posted could be really helpful in stoppibg developers building on Griffiths Park.

Good luck Yoxall27. It would be an absolute disgrace if they are allowed to build there!
