Very sad news indeed. I know that he was really chuffed when Witton gained promotion and for the first time began playing in a league higher than Vics! He didn’t say alot about promotion day but he didn’t have to. His face told the story! RIP Tony, SBL
Really sad news.
I think it’s fitting that his last contribution to Witton was organising the walk to Runcorn. Not just raising money for the Club he loved, but also a deserving local charity.
It just wont be the same not seeing him around the place.
Very sad news, echo all the above, Tony was a great bloke. My condolences to all the family.
Great friend, top bloke, tremendous wittoner and above all a fantastic family man. Condolences to all the family, but especially Val, Debbie and Laura.

Very sad news. He certainly was a lovely character and will be greatly missed.
My condolences to his family.
I didn’t know Tony personally but the very few times I spoke to him in person he seemed like a lovely bloke. A big loss to Witton Albion FC.
Rest in peace Tony.
Sad news. In my short time with the club I spent a lot of time talking to Tony as he was pottering round the ground putting up the H4H flag and banners. A man who talked sense and had a huge passion for not only Witton but football in general. A kind hearted man also who had a real passion for helping others. We spoke a lot about the Joshua Tree Foundation over the summer and what struck me is his desire to help others.
A true Wittoner and a face that will be missed at the games.
My deepest condolences go to his family.
Rest in peace now Tony.
A great Wittoner, a great angler and a smashing bloke too, God bless Tony and may he rest in peace.

I’m gutted at the passing of Tony.
Tony was a big help to my Dad in his fight against cancer. He would often call round to see him.
I could never thank Tony enough for being so caring towards my dad.
I’ll miss Tony. A top bloke, and a great Wittoner.
My condolences to his family & friends.
